DIY Bistro Table Makeover

With just a bit of paint you can make a cheap bistro set feel like you're in Palm Springs! Click through for full tutorial.Happy Monday friends! And boy am I excited to kick off this week with a colorful makeover! I’ve been thinking about what to do with my ugly patio space since moving to Philly. Seriously, did you see the before? Of course when it came down to making a move I stuck with a classic rule, when in doubt, add color. Lots and lots of color. Here’s how I did it:

Time: 3.5 hours
Materials: DecoArt Outdoor Living Paint, bistro set, paint roller, foam brushes

With just a bit of paint you can make a cheap bistro set feel like you're in Palm Springs! Click through for full tutorial. Durable paint is key for this project! DecoArt’s Outdoor Living paint is great because you don’t need a sealer and it comes in such beautiful colors! I used wildflower, sunset, harvest, adirondack, and turquoise sky. You can the other colors available here or just head to JoAnn’s (select stores) or AC Moore (all stores) to see them in person. Continue reading…

10 Beautiful Bathrooms

10 Beautiful Bathrooms(via Design Milk)

Alright friends, lets be honest. A good bathroom, with the perfect amount of sink space and a deep bathtub, is one the best aspects about traveling and staying in hotel rooms. But since a majority of us don’t live on the road, we’re stuck with our regular old bathrooms. But we don’t have to be. These ten beautiful bathrooms show that with a little bit of work (okay in some cases a lot), it is possible to have your home feel like a designer hotel. Sometimes you just need some pink tile in your shower.

If you’re a renter like me, there are still some quick fixes you can mix into your bathroom to make it a bit more beautiful. Swap those generic drug store bottles for pretty uniform ones (like this DIY). Upgrade your common fixtures, like nobs, shower head and toilet paper holder for nicer ones. And when in doubt and on a budget, a new shower curtain can work wonders.

10 Swoon Worthy Kitchens

10 Swoon Worthy Kitchens(via Nicole Davis)

I may not best the best cook, or even cook at all really, but boy can I appreciate a beautiful kitchen. While I think a majority of these swoon worthy spaces are the results of a makeover done by a home owner, I think there are a few similar themes throughout that can also be renter friendly like a great light fixture, interesting hardware, and fresh flowers or fun plants.

One day I would love to have a space like any of the following because of course it will instantly make me a world-renowned chef. In the meantime, however, I’ll be here day dreaming about subway tile and gold faucets.
