DIY Coin Bank
Time: 40 Minutes
Materials: jar with lid, nail, hammer, spray paint, glass paint/tape
First peel off the label and wash your jar; you don’t want your change to smell like pickles! Mark the area you’d like for you slot with a sharpie. Next, hammer your nail through the lid, making a row as you go, until there is no more metal in between the holes. Once you’re done, be sure to test the change to see if it fits before you paint the lid.
As the lid is drying, add some decoration to your jar! I kept it simple (perhaps too simple) by taping off a thick line with washi tape then painting with gold leaf.
