DIY Rhinestone Earrings

Update your wardrobe in a half hour with these diy rhinestone earrings! So I totally have a thing for rhinestones. Any color, any size, and on any surface, you name it. I can’t get enough! After making these clips to go in my hair, I decided to use the leftovers to make some earrings. Because you can never have too many fun accessories, right? Here’s how:

Time: 30 minutes
Materials: rhinestones, E-6000 glue, earring posts, scissors, felt or plastic backing

Update your wardrobe in a half hour with these diy rhinestone earrings!I personally like the pop of yellow on the side of my earrings (from the felt), but if you don’t, use clear plastic instead for your backing. It doesn’t have to be fancy, any scrap piece will do.

Update your wardrobe in a half hour with these diy rhinestone earrings!Start by mapping out your design. Once you have your earrings picked out, add a dab of E-6000 glue to the back of your rhinestones and place in position on the felt.

Bada boom– just like that, you have new earrings!

Update your wardrobe in a half hour with these diy rhinestone earrings! These have instantly become some of my favorite earrings and I can’t wait to make more! What about you? Would you ever wear statement jewelry this loud or do you prefer simpler/classic pieces?

  • I LOVE these! I was just brainstorming DIY jewelry and kept getting lost (jewelry isn’t my strong suit). But I adore these so much, what a fun project!

    • Yay, thanks Gabi! It’s totally not my strong suit either, but these were pretty easy to make :)

I love these! It always blows my mind how expensive J.Crew statement jewelry is, and now I can skip the splurge because these look JUST like the designer gems I love! Way to go :)

    • Right?! I guess because of the metal work on the back, but I’m completely happy with that pop of yellow instead. Thanks Carrie :)
