Merry Christmas + Happy New Year

vintage christmas ornaments Merry Christmas friends! It feels like the end of the year happened in a blink, doesn’t it? And while I didn’t get close to finishing everything on my list, I’m moving away from feeling guilty so I can enjoy the season. This time of year can be so full of pressure and stress, that I say we all say screw it and just have some fun.

I’ll be taking a short break until January to travel and work on the editorial calendar for next year. There are really exciting things in the works and I can’t wait to share with you! But for now, let’s nog, spend time with friends and family and celebrate the good.

See you in 2018!

DIY Ornament WreathHappy Monday from Kentucky! I’m here visiting my family for the next few weeks, but wanted to share this fun ornament wreath I made before I left! I’ve admired this project from Martha Stewart for ages but always kept it on the back burner for whatever reason. Even though I’m totally obsessed with how it looks (seriously how magical are vintage bulbs), I think the initial cost of the ornaments was a turn off for me.

When I saw Studio DIY’s version, I knew this was a project I’d had to have in my home. So when I came across some affordable colorful ornaments, I decided to do my own cheaper, rainbow version. Here’s how it turned out:

Classic Christmas Playlist

Classic Christmas PlaylistAll of my favorite holiday moments revolve around music in one another or another. Driving to go see lights with music playing on the radio, or walking up on Christmas morning to the sound of music coming from the record player down the hall. When you hear Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’, you just know the season has begun.

I went through and narrowed down my favorite classic songs from growing up. The ones I remember listening to with my dad and family. You can listen/follow along here or just click play down below! And if you like some modern songs mixed in with the classics, check out my playlist from last year!
