I think like a lot of people this year, I’m counting on Christmas to be the saving grace of 2016. It’s been an emotionally heavy year and I think we could all use some extra cheer. And if you waited until after Thanksgiving to move full force into holiday mode like I did, that means there’s a lot to pack into the next three weeks. Bring on the egg nog, gift wrap, lights, and music please!

It’s that time of year again y’all! As you know, Christmas is one of my all time favorite things about life. The music, the food, the movies, being close to family, and of course the decorations; I’ll take it all, please and thank you.
This year I’ve teamed up with Lowe’s to give my apartment a holiday makeover and to share some tips for how you can stretch your decor into the new year. Something a little fun and different about this post is that product sources are tagged a few of the photos so that you can shop the items directly without having to search around for links (just hover over to see).
Now, to the decor!
Two weeks ago I shared how to make these DIY photo ornaments, but I realize that some of you don’t have space in your home for a tree. If you still want to display your memories from the year, and are limited with floor space, then this DIY photo wall tree is the perfect solution! Plus it’s super easy to make. Here’s how:
Time: 30 minutes
Materials: photos, wooden dowels, scissors, double sided tape, string, sandpaper
One of my favorite parts about the end of the year is looking back at all my photos and memories. Plus as you know, Christmas is in my top five of my favorite things about life, so this year, I decided to put the two activities together and make photo ornaments! Here’s how you can whip up a batch to add a personal and colorful touch to your tree in about a half hour:
Time: 30 minutes
Materials: photos, paint, decoupage, paint brush, balsa wood sheet, scissors, ribbon, hot glue gun
