It’s my favorite time of the year because so many people are creating! To help give you ideas of what you can make this holiday season, check out these 10 colorful Christmas craft projects.
Red + green is a Christmas classic, but if you want to shake things up a bit, try expanding your holiday color palette. These are some of my most colorful Christmas crafts. Recreate them as they are, or use your own colors.
From wreaths, to garlands, ornaments, and more, these projects are sure to fill your home with whimsy and joy. Dust off the paints, grab your glue gun, and let’s get crafting!
1. This colorful beaded garland is still one of my favorite Christmas craft projects of all time! Did you know you could dye beads?! Follow this simple DIY to learn how!
2. And before you throw out that dye, you can use the extra to dye bottle brush trees! Use a bit of ModPodge and glitter for a an extra fake snow effect.
3. Making an ornament wreath was on my craft bucket list for a few years and I’m so happy that I finally did it!
It’s certainly not a quick craft, but if you’re looking to make something custom for your home that will last through the years, then this is the Christmas craft for you.

4. Not only is a paper chain garland easy to make, but it’s one of the most affordable craft projects on this list. Plus you could make this entire project while watching a Christmas movie. A win-win and a must-try!
5. If you’re looking for a sentimental project, try this DIY Christmas Village. Paint them with your friends, your family, your kids, or just yourself.

6. A simple way to add some holiday cheer to your decor is to wrap your art like presents. You don’t have to wrap the back of the art, so you really only need a few rolls of paper.
Have fun with colors and mix it up! It’s a great time to play with color since it’ll only be up for 1-2 months.
7. Before you throw out your tinsel scraps, save them to make this DIY ornament. Simply take the ornament cap off and add your tinsel with the end of a pencil tip.
Add one to your tree every year to mark and remember each year’s decoration!
8. Dress up any pillow case with these free Christmas SVG files! You can use a Cricut or even print and cut out with a utility blade.
You could also use your own design and typeface and some iron-on vinyl to create your own custom Christmas pillow
9. When it comes to making a wreath, it doesn’t get easier than this DIY Candy Cane Wreath. You just need a wreath form and tinsel in the colors of your choice.
Red and white is classic, but you can always make it to match your decor!
10. Last but not least, grab this cookie tin free printable if you’re gifting any baked goods this year! You can always find cookie tins at the thrift store and this is an easy way to customize them.
