Time: 45 minutes
Materials: Tassel Garland Kit, cardboard, crepe paper, scissors, pen, hole punch, tape runner, pom poms, hot glue gun
I’m going to be honest here and tell you that our mini tree is just not cutting it this year! Luckily, Carmen from the Flair Exchange runs one amazingly festive shop and I was able to give our decorations a much needed boost with a DIY Tassel Garland Kit.
Assemble your tassels by following the instructions included with the kit. It just takes some simple rolling and twisting!
Make yourself a tree shaped stencil and trace onto cardboard. Cut out when finished.
Start by covering your tree trunk with brown crepe paper. To build up the texture of your tree, layer strips of green crepe paper on top of one another (securing with your tape runner). Trim the excess ends.
If you want to add decoration to your trees, hot glue on a few pom poms! You could also hole punch colorful paper and glue on. When finished, punch a hole in the top and string up with your tassels.
PS If my bar cart got you in the mood for a holiday cocktail, you’ll find dozens of tasty concoctions over on the Flair Exchange!
