If there was ever a time we could all use a bit of bright yellow, it’s right now! It’s sad to see spring come into bloom through a window, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take inspiration from the season and bring it inside. In fact, if you’ve been feeling down and isolated indoors lately, I highly recommend adding a pop of bright yellow to your home. Here’s more about why I’m currently crushing on it and what colors you can pair with it:
Color: Bright Yellow
Pair it With: This color is certainly bold enough to stand alone. And it makes for such a statement piece when it’s used on it’s own. If you’d like to pair colors with it, consider these supporting shades: light pink (with warm undertones), bold pink, bright orange, teal, and shades of blue. Color is certainly subjective, so have fun and play around with this one!
Why it’s Crush-Worthy: have you ever just looked at a color and it made you happy? That’s bright yellow for me. It’s just one of those colors that brings instant joy and sunshine into any situation. I actually felt happier writing this post because I got to search for so much yellow.
How to Bring it Home: I love bright yellow for making a statement. If you’re going to go bold, why not go all the way?! Paint an accent wall or a stairway, even a doorframe, to make your interior pop. Still feeling timid about it? Feel free to start off slow with a bright yellow vase or pillow to brighten up your accessories. I also think a yellow dress is the perfect thing to wear on any day you’re feeling sad.
