Today is a great day because I get to talk to you about one of my favorite shades of pink of all time: bubble gum pink. If my hair wasn’t indication enough, I kinda love this color (even my shoes for our wedding are this color). There seems to be an array of tones and shades for bubble gum pink if you did a quick search, but I always think of the container for Hubba Bubba gum. That classic shade of pink. The one that’s punchy and warm, bold yet soft. This color is a bit more vibrant than the trendy millennial pink and definitely a shade you do not want to overlook.
Color: Bubble Gum Pink
Pair it With:Â Does it go with just about every color of the rainbow? Yes, yes it does. After all, around here pink is a neutral. But I also really feel that it’s such a universal color. With a warm undertone it pairs well with reds, oranges, and yellows. On the flip side, it compliments and acts in harmony with cool colors. I especially love bubble gum pink with all shades of green (kelly green, teal, mint, emerald green, etc), and yellow!
Why it’s Crush-Worthy: Where do I begin? First off, because it pairs with SO many things, it’s really a no brainer when it comes to bringing it into a space or even your wardrobe (and hair color for that matter). You can safely decorate with it, without worrying about it clashing with your existing pieces, all while adding that fun pop of color in your space. It’s warm and inviting without being harsh and you can pair it with certain colors (navy, wood) so it doesn’t read as ultra feminine. 10/10.
How to Bring it Home: Wallpaper, paint, couches/large furniture pieces, honestly the bigger the better with this color. Still not sold on splurging on a pink couch? Start with a larger item that is still changeable like a duvet or quilt or to meet in the middle pick up a pink rug. Bubble gum pink compliments warm wood and brass very well, so really you can’t go wrong!
