One of the most common questions I’m asked is where does my inspiration come from. Ultimately I like to take the colors, textures, and patterns I see in the world around me and bring them into the home and projects I’m working on. But for the times where I can’t explore as much as I want to, there’s always Pinterest.
I thought it would be fun to start a new Color Crush series that focuses on the colors that I’m currently gravitating towards. Truthfully, more often than not, what inspires me isn’t directly related to crafting. I like to pull from fashion, architecture, photography, and more because it broadens the horizons for what’s possible. In this series I’ll do my best to find images of the color used in different settings as well as tips for what to pair it with! Now, on to the inspiration:
Color: Emerald Green
Pair it With: peach, coral, all shades of pink, bold yellows, light blues, teals, gold, and light shades of wood.
Why it’s Crush-Worthy: it’s a deep + saturated color that goes with just about everything. It able to make a statement without being too loud. Pair it with a warm toned pink and you instantly feel like you’re in a much warmer, tropic-like environment (which is a great way to add warmth to your house).
How to Bring it Home: I love this color for a statement wall. Grab lighter color furniture or linens to really make it pop. If you’re looking to invest, an emerald green furniture piece (like a sofa or chair) would be a versatile way to bring in color in your home.
