One of my favorite things about the end of year is that it’s a time to reflect on everything that’s happened. And what better way to keep those memories alive than by turning them into ornaments you can hang up year after year? If you’re looking to add a personal touch to your tree, then you’ll want to make these color blocked instagram ornaments asap! Here’s how:
Time: 45 minutes + dry time
Materials: wood polaroid frames, photos, Americana Decor Maxx Gloss Paint, multi-purpose sealer, tape, tacky glue, hot glue, gold cord, brush
I used Americana Decor Maxx Gloss paint (you can find at Michael’s, Home Depot, Joann’s, and Meijers). Because it applies so smoothly, you really only need one coat.
Coat your frames with sealer and let dry. Tape off at an angle and paint. Peel the tape and let dry again.  On the back, apply a thin layer of tacky glue all the way around the frame and place on your photo. Let glue dry overnight.
With an X-Acto knife, trim the excess photo. To attach a hook, cut about 5 inches of cord, loop, and then secure with a dap of hot glue. Once completely dry, your ornaments are ready to hang!
So what do you think?! You can also write the date and place on the back so that years down the road you wont forget where the photo was taken. They also make the perfect handmade gift if you’re still thinking about what to make your loved ones!
