Typically I am a red/pink nail polish only kind of gal, as I’m sure you’ve seen in all of my posts. That is, except for Christmas! The one time of year when all my rules go right out the window (sorry diet and bank account). If you’re looking for a fun and easy way to prep your nails for party season, then this holiday manicure tutorial is for you. Here’s how:
Materials: base coat, green & red nail polish, stripe polish, Q-tips Precision Tips
If you don’t quite have control over polish application, especially with your non-dominant hand, then be sure to have some Q-Tips Precision Tips handy! The ends are pointed so you can easily clean up your cuticles after you apply your polish.
Start by prepping your nail surface (cut/file/buff), then apply a base coat. Apply two coats of polish alternating red and green as you go. To add a touch of holiday goodness, apply a thin line of silver glitter. If this is the first time using a brush of this width, I’d recommend practicing on a sheet of paper before applying to your nail.
Once your design is set, apply a quick dry top coat and let dry. Once you clean up your cuticles and any extra polish that may not be on the nail, you are ready for any and all holiday parties!
I’d love to know, how do you change up your beauty routine during the holidays?
