Valentine’s day is next week guys NEXT WEEK! If you’re still on the hunt for the perfect gift, or if you’re just browsing for some decor ideas, you can’t go wrong with this DIY heart planter. It takes less than a half hour to make and can 10000% be done while enjoying a glass of wine. Trust me. When you’re done, pair it with a copy of Everything Grows with Love and you have an instant heartfelt gift + a new bright corner in your home! That’s right, it’s so cute you’re going to want to make two. Here’s how:Â
What You’ll Need:
– Vinyl
– Heart punch
– Planter
I’m telling you that this project couldn’t be any easier! Use the heart punch to cut out hearts from the vinyl.
You could also skip this step and just use heart shaped stickers, but the nice thing about working with vinyl is that it’s removable and doesn’t leave behind gross residue. It’s also easier to clean over time. You can wipe your planter clean with a damp cloth and it won’t cause any damage.
Once all of your hearts are punched, peel the back off the vinyl and apply to your planter. I kept mine simple with two rows of hearts, but you could add and many as you want! And that’s all there is to it!
For a special Valentine’s Day gift, pair your DIY heart planter with Everything Grows with Love from Flow Magazine. Because I mean hello– what a fun plant pun! It’s the cutest little book full of illustrated quotes of love from about 20 different artists. Not all the quotes are romantic, so you could really get it for any person in your life. And since it’s under $10, you could even use it as the card. Seriously such a steal!
