Time: 10 Minutes
Materials: cloche, spray paint, drop cloth
Warning: I may just have a new crafty addiction.
After making this 10 minute vase a few weeks back, I’ve been searching my apartment (and every store in the bay area) for other fun glass items to paint. I loved the light, airy look I was able to achieve with spray paint, and knew that when I spotted this cloche at Michaels that I had found the perfect item for my second attempt. At this point, no glass surface is safe from an ombre makeover!
Head to a well ventilated area and rest your cloche on top of your drop cloth. The trick to getting the ombre effect is to paint the actual drop cloth and not the glass itself. The paint will splash up from the drop cloth and stick to the glass. The closer to the cloche you are (without touch) the better. Work in a circle until the entire base is painted.
When you’re done painting, let dry then display!
