Time to keep this non-creepy Halloween train rolling! While I know spiders aren’t for everyone, with a touch of paint, they become less scary and more colorful and fun. Not only is this a cheaper DIY to make (I got a bag of 150 spiders for $3 at Target), but it’s next to impossible to mess up. So go ahead and pour yourself a glass of hard apple cider and get crafting! Here’s how:
– Craft store pumpkin
– Spray paint
– Plastic spiders
– Cloth tarp or cardboard
– Gold leaf (optional)
Working outside, lay your plastic spiders on your tarp/cardboard, clustering them in groups (one for pink, one for yellow, etc) and spray paint. Let sit until completely dry. All you have to do after that is apply a dab of hot glue to the back of the spider and attach to your pumpkin!
I didn’t care for the stem on the fake pumpkin, so I went ahead and covered it with gold leaf. If you decide to do that, just follow the instructions on the back of the box.
When you’re done, mix and match with your other indoor pumpkins! And don’t be afraid to add more spiders, I promise they won’t bite!
