Happy Monday friends! After being stuck inside all weekend buried under 22″ of snow, I decided to get a little crafty with some gems. If you’re looking to add some sparkle to your hairdo for a special Valentine’s date, or just want to make your girlfriends some bling for Galentine’s day, these diy rhinestone hair clips are sure to do the trick. Plus you’ll be done in under ten minutes (it really doesn’t get any easier than this)! Here’s how:
Time: 5 minutes + dry time
Materials: rhinestones, E-6000 glue, hair clips
I decided to use to sew on rhinestones because they’re a bit thicker and have a flat back. You could also use hot glue for this project if you need to make one quick, but the E-6000 will last through a bit more wear and tear.
Clip your hair clips on to a piece of cardboard. This will keep them level and ensure that you won’t accidentally glue them shut. Add a dab of glue and attach your rhinestones. It helps to have your design picked out before applying the clue. If your clips have a curve to them, keep an eye on your stones to make sure they don’t shift at all.
Let dry and you’re done and ready for a night out! Easy as that!
