Our garage makeover is officially DONE, whew! I can’t tell you how good that feels to say!
My goal for the space was to have multiple working areas. I tend to use tools from time to time, but I also wanted a nicer spot where I could sit down and craft. I was so fortunate to partner with Wayfair on this project, because they have everything I needed. And I mean everything– I even ordered tape and protractors from them! If you missed the before pictures, you can see them here. But let’s get to why you’re really here… the after shots!
So as you could tell from the beginning shots that the walls were down right disgusting. Because we’re renting, I didn’t want to make too drastic of a change, so I decided to paint with a low-lustre enamel paint from Behr. It’s similar to the original color of concrete, but it looks clean and polished without losing all of the texture.
Because the task of installing new floors is not really ideal for renters (and in a garage no less), I went with the more affordable option of adding an outdoor rug to my crafting area. The pattern and texture really helps tie everything together.
Can I just tell you how much I love this workbench? It’s the perfect height and has a lot of workable room, which is great for making the photo holders we sell on Etsy.
You might remember this inspiration board from yesterday’s post! The back corner really just needed some color brighten it up in comparison to the rest of the space.
One of my favorite things that I did was this yarn installation. It covers up the less appealing wood paneling that was there before, but I’m still able to use the ledges for storage. As you can see, I clearly have enough spray paint and Mod Podge to last a lifetime.
Last but not least, the thrift store dresser that I made over! Inside is just a cluster of all my craft supplies and I love it. So much easier than trying to find items in boxes.
For those of your itching to know, here are the products that I used from Wayfair:
Tool Chest, Desk, Clock, Basket, Chair, Trash Can, Rug, Candle, Workbench
So that’s it! Tomorrow I’ll have one last post– a video in fact of me putting the entire place together. There will be dancing and glitter shoes, so you won’t want to miss it!
