Initially I wasn’t going to share this idea here, but after Ryan and I had so much fun putting it together, I figured why not! We’ve seriously laughed so much since putting them up that it would be a shame not to share the joy. Here’s how we made a googly eye gallery wall for Halloween:
– Googly eyes in different sizes
– Art with glass or quality covering
All of our art is framed with glass. The googly eyes will leave a residue behind, so before moving forward with this idea yourself, make sure your art can be cleaned once Halloween is over.
Whether your art is abstract or realistic, once you add googly eyes, you’ll instantly have a face! To find the best position for the eyes, it helps to move the eye around the art before peeling the backs to place. Here’s a video I made of the process:

Continue to place your eyes on your art, and that’s really it!
Most of these came out so silly and so fun that I’d 10/10 do this again next year. Because of how late in the month we put this together, we ran out of time to try this, but! If you want to make your gallery wall spookier, you can wrap your art in spider webbing before adding eyes to make each print a mini mummy.
Let me know if you give this a try– I can’t wait to see what faces you find in your art!
