It’s here, it’s finally hereeee! Today is the day Hello Color makes it’s way into the world. Surreal doesn’t even begin to express how this feels! In 2011 I started a hobby blog to deal with the stress of my full time job and now a project that I wrote, photographed, styled, and crafted is being sold in stores like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Books A Million, and local bookstores all across the country. Like what?! Somebody hand me a glass of champagne because it is time to celebrate!
When it comes down to it, I wrote this book for you, my readers. I think we’re all so consumed by life and work and sometimes we may only get 20 or 30 minutes to ourselves once a week. I know that’s what my life was like when I first started this blogging journey. The projects inside are intended to be simple yet fulfilling. The type of projects that you’ll actually want to make because not only will they bring a bit of color into your home, but because they’re projects you can actually do. From how to style a bookcase, to photography tips, building custom palettes and more, Hello Color is a do-able DIY guide for how to welcome color into your home and your life. I want you to know that yes, you can absolutely be crafty and as colorful as you want to be!
If you happen to try a project, or just want to take photo of the book styled on your bookshelf, please tag me and your photos with #HelloColor so that I can see and share your work! This is going to be my favorite part about this whole thing :)
I’ll be celebrating tonight in Philly and on Thursday in NYCÂ and hope to see some of you there! And if you live elsewhere, stay tuned for my July tour dates coming soon.
Thank you all for the love and support– I couldn’t have done this without you!
