And just like that, we’re at the end of the year!
Before I log off for the next two weeks, I wanted to share the Christmas shoot we did with Allie Provost! Since we’re not going to any holiday parties this year, we thought it would be fun to still get dressed up and pretend a bit. There really is nothing like Christmas in New York and the fact that we live here and get to experience the magic on a regular basis is worth celebrating.
Here are more photos from our shoot:
We shot at the tree outside of Grand Central Terminal. To get those good Christmas photos in New York (the ones without the crowds), make sure you get to your location super early. Most times you have to shoot at sunrise, but because this tree really isn’t a tourist stop, we actually got to sleep in at 9am on the weekend and didn’t have any issues. We practically had the space to ourselves!
Are those presents just empty boxes that we wrapped? Yes, yes they are. I never know what to do with my hands in photos, so having props really helped.
So that’s the shoot! It was so nice getting dressed up and doing this just for fun. 10/10 would do again.
I’ll be taking the next few weeks off line to reset, enjoy the break, and start planning for 2022. I’m hoping that you get a chance to do the same. I know we’re going into yet again another weird holiday season, and that emotions are all over the place, but please remember to take care of yourself and others. Eat those cookies! Drink that champagne! Get some sleep and time off the internet!
Until I return, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
