Thank y’all so, so much for the feedback on this year’s reader survey!
Typically I would share exact numbers and pie charts, but I think you might be more interested in my plans for The Crafted Life after taking all of your data into consideration.
It’s been five fun years of crafting over here. That means that pretty much every week for those last five years I’ve made, photographed, edited and published a DIY as a one woman machine. I would be lying if I said that typing that sentence alone didn’t make me tired. Making is the core of this blog and don’t worry, that element is not going anywhere (promise!). But I need more and I think you do too. Here’s what you can expect to see:
Quality Projects– DIY projects are always here to stay, but I’m going to really focus on quality over quantity. I want to create those pieces for your home that someone picks up and asks you where you bought it. And of course I will keep everything to the time frame of about 30 minutes or less.
Product Roundups– I know that you’re busy and sometimes DIY is not always the best way to go. So like many of you requested, I’ll also be bringing in more product guides. I hope to make them a bit unique and approachable by making everything around or below $50.
Travel Guides– I can’t tell you how PSYCHED I am that you guys are into the travel series! It’s my favorite thing to do in the world and I can’t wait to take you on some adventures. I’m a scrappy traveler so hopefully I’ll be able to share some tips and tricks for getting around on the cheap as well as fun places you can visit.
Printables– I love printables as much as the next person. They’re amazing and yeah, you’ll be seeing more of them. I’m even hoping to bring on a graphic designer as part of the team to make them appear on a regular basis. Brace your walls and cell phones for some and free art!
Home Decor– More interiors. More styling tips. Just more.
I want this blog to be your source where where to find beautiful things for your home and for your life without having to invest a lot of time or money. I think we all want nice things, but more importantly, that we want to have the time to create those perfect memories. So whether it’s a DIY you use to decorate your new home, the perfect pair of earrings to wear on your big date, or the brunch cocktail recipe you’ll drink with your friends, I hope that you’ll find it here.
xo
