Hello Color Book Tour Recap!

Hello Color Book TourMan I hope you guys love photos because today I’m finally sharing all the snaps from the Hello Color book tour! For five weeks this summer (during July – August) Ryan and I had the privilege of driving across the country together to meet and craft with some of you. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to be able to hangout with some of you face to face and to celebrate this accomplishment. Sometimes working by yourself feels like you’re just pushing content into a void, but this trip was the nicest reminder of why it is I do what I do. It was a summer of adventure and color and one I’ll never forget, so thank you!

I also want to give a quick shoutout to the brands that helped make this trip possible. A book tour is no joke in terms of planning and execution and I’m so grateful to have received a bit of help along the way! Terra Chips was kind enough to sponsor a leg of the trip and provide us with snacks throughout. Martha Stewart, Plaid, and Fiskars all donated supplies for the workshops. Hotel Tonight put us up in a few cities, and Enterprise was kind enough to help with some car expenses. Thank you all again!

Now on to the fun!

Hello Color Book Tour!

Hello Color TourWell if this just isn’t the week for announcements?! But guys, I’m going on TOUR!! I will be driving across the country for about 5-6 weeks this summer, crafting all along the way to promote my book, and cannot wait to meet you!

Each stop will vary in activity (some ticketed workshops, some open/free parties), but they will all for sure be colorful and fun. I’ll also be giving away free art prints at every stop that won’t be available anywhere else, so don’t miss out! I’ve teamed up with some pretty amazing stores, so if you already own the book, please come out just to say hello and shop! Bring a friend/everyone you know, or come out and make new friends!

Here are the tour stop details and where to RSVP:

Hello Color– Now in Stores!

From Hello ColorIt’s here, it’s finally hereeee! Today is the day Hello Color makes it’s way into the world. Surreal doesn’t even begin to express how this feels! In 2011 I started a hobby blog to deal with the stress of my full time job and now a project that I wrote, photographed, styled, and crafted is being sold in stores like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Books A Million, and local bookstores all across the country. Like what?! Somebody hand me a glass of champagne because it is time to celebrate!

From Hello ColorWhen it comes down to it, I wrote this book for you, my readers. I think we’re all so consumed by life and work and sometimes we may only get 20 or 30 minutes to ourselves once a week. I know that’s what my life was like when I first started this blogging journey. The projects inside are intended to be simple yet fulfilling. The type of projects that you’ll actually want to make because not only will they bring a bit of color into your home, but because they’re projects you can actually do. From how to style a bookcase, to photography tips, building custom palettes and more, Hello Color is a do-able DIY guide for how to welcome color into your home and your life. I want you to know that yes, you can absolutely be crafty and as colorful as you want to be!

If you happen to try a project, or just want to take photo of the book styled on your bookshelf, please tag me and your photos with #HelloColor so that I can see and share your work! This is going to be my favorite part about this whole thing :)

I’ll be celebrating tonight in Philly and on Thursday in NYC and hope to see some of you there! And if you live elsewhere, stay tuned for my July tour dates coming soon.

Thank you all for the love and support– I couldn’t have done this without you!
