These baker’s twine party favors take less than 20 minutes to make and cost about $.50 a piece, making them perfect for the hostess on a time and budget crunch!  And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love receiving free craft supplies?

Before starting, I recommend painting your bobbins to match your party theme. They’re originally white, so you can paint them any color you want without having to prime the surface or do multiple coats. If you’d like the paint to be extra durable, seal with a layer of Mod Podge.

All you do it wrap your baker’s twine on the bobbin as you would embroidery floss. Secure in the slit, snip the excess twine, then get back to planning the rest of your party!

Dotted Party Favor Bags

Time: 5 Minutes
Materials: cloth bags, pencil with eraser, paint, ribbon, wax paper

1. Fold up a sheet of wax paper and place in the bag. This will prevent your dots from bleeding through.

2. Dip your pencil eraser in paint use as a stamp. Wipe clean between each color.

3. If you want to add ribbon, just make four vertical slits and string through. Fill with candy and gift!

Colorful Cutlery

Time: 30 minutes
Materials: wooden cutlery, acrylic paint, paint brush, tape

1. Tape off where you want the color to end.

2. Paint your handles completely in the first color of choice.

3. Once dry, tape off the section where you’d like your second color.
