2020 aka the year where it’s hard to be optimistic. For a quick recap of events around here: Ryan and I had to post-pone our wedding, we both had COVID (and still have long-term effects), business is down across the board, and yet we’re still so very lucky.
On a day like Thanksgiving, it’s good to take note of all the things we have to be thankful for. And this year especially, I am thankful for you. My shop opened this year in April, and while it arguably is the worst time for it to have opened, it’s been a hit because of you. I’ve been able to pay my bills because of you. You are the very reason my business still exists. I’m not sure how I can ever repay you for the support you’ve shown me over the years, and how much it saved me this year alone, but I hope that one day I can.
I know it’s hard not to be with loved ones on a day typically filled with tradition and family. And I know that this year has already taken so much from so many of us. But I hope that you’ll find a little time in your day for a bit of joy, whatever that may be.
Stay safe, stay healthy, and a very happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
PS I know a lot of you will be looking for deals this weekend and I wanted to give you a heads up that Small Business Saturday around here is going to be AMAZING! I’ve teamed up with 14 other women-owned small businesses to give you discounts on discounts. Please come back this Saturday 11/28 (which also just so happens to be my birthday!)– I’ll be sharing all of their businesses and discounts then! You can also join the newsletter to get them delivered to your inbox. I’ll also be marking down select items for tomorrow and Black Friday, stay tuned!
