A few weeks ago, Lisa from Zelma Rose and I hosted an embroidery workshop at West Elm in Emeryville and I thought I’d share some photos today! By no means am I an embroidery expert, but that’s what was so great about this event; with a few basic stitch techniques, everyone was able to create custom and fun wall art for their homes.
One of my favorite aspects about hosting a workshop is gathering the supplies. There just something about so much crafty goodness is one place that makes my brain rush with creativity. Minted provided the fabric for the event and boy did it blow me away. So many fun prints and patterns. I can’t wait to use the leftover scraps for some upcoming projects (stay tuned!). DecoArt also provided the paint so we could color block and match the fabric perfectly.
Even though I wanted to buy the entire store by the time everyone was done crafting, West Elm provided such a perfect space for the event. I mean, look at that bedding and that exposed brick!
If you weren’t able to attend the event but are curious to know how to recreate this project at home, don’t worry, I got you covered! I’ll be sharing a tutorial very soon!
So that’s it! A huge thank you to everyone who came out to craft on a Saturday and special thanks to West Elm for hosting us!
