There is so much to love about summer. Everything is in bloom, the sun is out longer, and weekends can be spent primarily outside. Between all the outings and park picnics coming up over the next few months, you will want to have a fun cooler to bring with you everywhere you go! I teamed up with Zevia to show you how to make a basic one colorful and fun. And it really only takes two steps to make, which is the perfect amount of energy to put into a summer DIY. Here’s how:
Time: 45 minutes
Materials: cooler, outdoor spray paint, contact paper, scissors
Paint your cooler (if you so desire) and while it’s drying, cut your vinyl. I recommend cutting your shapes a little larger than you think you might want to save yourself some time in the long run. Remember that you will be individually taking the back off each shape and that time adds up!
Apply vinyl to the cooler and you’re done! Bada bing, bada boom! It’s such a simple project that there’s no excuse for having a basic cooler this summer.
You’ll need a fun drink to go inside your colorful new cooler, so stock up on ice and Zevia and head to the park! Because Zevia is a zero calorie (and non-GMO verified) soft drink sweetened with stevia, it won’t make you feel weighted down in the hot summer sun. Such a picnic win! Plus how cute are those colorful cans?
