Have you ever felt that you weren’t creative or crafty enough to make all of those projects you’ve saved on Pinterest? Or maybe you didn’t think you had enough time? Well, I’m here to help. Because anyone can be creative, it just takes practice. And a crafty BFF!

Hi, I’m Rachel. Welcome to The Crafted Life, a place where I share my love for easy craft projects and realistic home decor makeovers to help you add more color to your life.

If you’re looking to take a break from doomscrolling and create instead, you’ve come to the right place. The projects you find here are the ones that started me on my own crafting journey in 2011 when I was overworked at a 9-5 (though more like an 8-7).

I didn’t know anything about photography, content creation, or crafting for that matter, but I jumped in anyway. And I’m so thankful I did.

I’m not ashamed to say that I’ve made a lot of ugly things over the years. But I also learned new skills, made an incredible community online, and had fun every step of the way.

After several failed projects, and years of practice, I realized that the act of creating is always the reward.

I left my full time job in 2014 to focus on sharing the accessible projects that made me fall in love with creating as as adult.

I’ve even been fortunate enough to be able to write two books (Hello Color and Colorful Living) and explore how color can change how we feel about ourselves and our homes.

Whether you’re here for a quick project to make over the weekend or inspiration for your next home project, I hope The Crafted Life helps you learn the skills you need to create the colorful space of your dreams. I’m here to boost your creative confidence, one project at a time.
