One of my favorite projects that I made for our home this year is this candy cane wreath! Since we live in an apartment building, and can’t have anything on our front door (dumb, I know), I thought it would be fun to bring a little cheer to the doors inside. And get this, it only takes 10 minutes to make, and requires little skill! I’d even bet money that you could make this after a few glasses of spiked egg nog. Not that I’m speaking from experience or anything. Here’s how:
Time: 10 minutes
Materials
– Candy Cane wreath frame
– Tinsel
– Scissors (optional)
All you need to do for this wreath is to wrap your frame with tinsel. Like legit that’s it. I found my frame at a local craft store, but I also found them on Amazon so that you can make this before Christmas! Side note, I used 2 packs of white tinsel and one red from Target (though I’d buy an extra white to make it a little more full– they were about $4 each).
Start wrapping the frame with the white tinsel and then add your red stripes until the frame is covered. You can snip the excess with scissors or wrap back around your frame and tuck underneath. THAT’S SERIOUSLY IT!!
I’m so happy with how this came out and really hope you’ll give this one a try!
