Happy Monday all! I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend. If it didn’t feel like summer before, I’m sure after seeing hundreds of firework and bbq Instagrams that you are feeling it more than ever. And what says summer more than summer loving aka the movie Grease?! I know it’s only the start of the week, but after browsing these movie inspired crafts, you’re going to want to call your girlfriends and make a weekend date for milkshakes and a sing-a-long!

And to close it out and give you a dose of humor:

“We have pictures of you so-called mooners. And just because the pictures aren’t of your faces doesn’t mean we can’t identify you. At this very moment those pictures are on their way to Washington where the FBI has experts in this type of identification. If you turn yourselves in now, you may escape a federal charge.” -Principal McGee

Movie Inspired Crafts: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Perhaps it’s a bit unconventional for Valentine’s Day, but Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is still one of my favorite love stories. It could be Kate Winslet’s brightly colored hair, or seeing Jim Carey totally nail a non-comedic role, but it gets me every time. If you’re currently buried in snow, or just looking for an excuse to take the night off, fire up your TV and make these movie inspired crafts!

And of course, the quote to close:

“How happy is the blameless vestal’s lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray’r accepted, and each wish resign’d.”

Movie Inspired Crafts: Amélie

If you have the Monday blues, put on some Yann Tiersen and dream of summer in Montmartre. Better yet, grab a bottle of wine and your dvd player because today’s movie inspired crafts come from Amélie! It’s quirky and whimsical nature is bound to make you forget about the week ahead. And if not, well, at least you had wine!

And for one of my favorite lines from the film:

Voilà, ma petite Amélie, vous n’avez pas des os en verre. Vous pouvez vous cogner à la vie. Si vous laissez passer cette chance, alors avec le temps, c’est votre cœur qui va devenir aussi sec et cassant que mon squelette. Alors, allez y, nom d’un chien!”

Translation: So, my little Amélie, you don’t have bones of glass. You can take life’s knocks. If you let this chance pass, eventually, your heart will become as dry and brittle as my skeleton. So, go get him, for Pete’s sake!

Movie Inspired Crafts: Elf
