Leather Keychain

Time: 20 minutes
Materials: leather, scissors, mallet, letter stamps, rotary hole punch, sponge, water

DIY Leather Keychain | The Crafted Life

After rounding up some amazing leather diys a few weeks ago, I finally got the courage (and tools) to do some leather work of my own. My skills definitely need some work, but I’m happy with my first attempt!

Start by cutting your leather into your desired shape.

To make your letters really pop, dampen your leather before stamping and let dry briefly.

To get the cleanest impressions possible, be sure to work on a flat surface and to hold your stamp still as you tap the base firmly with the mallet (you can see that mine moved slightly).

When dry, punch a hole and slip onto a keyring. I recommend using a thinner leather than what I used so that you can secure your hole with rivets.

So what do you think? Have you ever worked with leather before? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

Glitter Dipped Clipboards

Start by taping off the section you’d like to glitter dip on your clipboard.

Sponge on a layer of mod podge, sprinkle on the glitter (this is my all time favorite kind!), and let sit for about one minute. After, you’ll want to shake off the excess glitter and peel the tape before the glue dries.

Seal with another layer of mod podge and let dry. When finished you can use/display! I chose to hang mine on the wall above my computer.

As much as I think framing photos is a great way to spruce up any space, there’s nothing like flipping through a stack of old photographs with loved ones. What better way to display your memories than with a two-tone photo bowl!

You can make your own with a few easy steps. Just tape, paint, and peel. Once dry, add your photos and place on your coffee table. It’s as easy as that!
