Movie Inspired Crafts: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Let’s mix things up a bit from my standard Friday roundup, shall we?

Earlier this week, I finally watched The Grand Budapest Hotel (took me long enough, right?!). I was completely blown away by the thought and detail that went into every scene– from the rich colors, to bold fonts, character quirks to costume design and everything else in between. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend it. And if my recommendation isn’t compelling enough, perhaps these craft projects that resemble scenes in the movie will convince you!

So grab a bottle of wine, some friends, and craft one (or all) of these projects as you watch/rewatch the film. Have a lovely weekend!

LOVE this movie-craft comparison! I totally enjoy Wes Anderson’s movies and The Grand Budapest Hotel was no exception. All the pinks and blues! Jeff Goldblum!

I want to see more of these features, so fun!

Weren’t the colors just absolutely brilliant?! I didn’t even have this column in mind until watching the film and feeling so inspired afterwards. I love it when a movie just sticks with you :)

So glad you liked it Marlene!

Thanks Giselle! Oh you must watch– I think you’ll like it! And if not for the plot/writing, at the very least you’ll love the visuals.

I’ve heard so many great things about this movie! Carmen (The Flair Exchange) suggested it awhile back as well. If you two say it’s good, I must watch it. ;)
