Friday Links

Friday LinksHappy Friday! Even though it’s still pretty warm here in Philly, I’m finding myself leaning more and more into the idea fall. Hell, I even bought a pumpkin spice candle yesterday and I’m not even mad about it. Perhaps it’s the cooler weather, or maybe I’m just high from all the Halloween candy sugar, but it’s one of my favorite time of year to work on home projects. The weather is still nice enough to keep windows open and all the plants are on sale– what’s not to love about that?! Whether you’re checking off projects on your to-do list, or keeping it easy this weekend, here are some links you won’t want to miss!

DIY Millennial Pink Sheets

This post is sponsored by Rit. All opinions expressed are my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that keep The Crafted Life making!

how to make millennial pink sheetsIt seems that the minute I think I’m finished decorating a room, I already want to redo it. Thanks Pinterest. Because it’s ridiculous to spend that much money and to mix things up that often, I’ve found that sometimes the small changes can go a long way. In this case, with a quick coat of paint and updated bedding, my bedroom feels brand new!

DIY Colorful Canvas Pin Boards

Learn how to make these colorful canvas pin boards for your office in 30 minutes!Alright friends, so! I’ve been hard at work in my studio over these past few weeks and have some fun DIYS + a full tour of my office on the way! I’ve been fortunate to have West Elm as a partner for the past year and a half (remember my bedroom and living room makeovers?) and we’ve teamed up again on the studio. I cannot wait to share all the colorful goodness that we came up with, but for now, let’s start with these fun DIY canvas pin boards because I am obsessed!

As much as I love looking for inspiration online, there’s still something so cathartic about flipping through a magazine or catalog and cutting out those eye catching images, especially when working with a glass of wine in hand. Not only is it a fun way to unplug and unwind, but it’s a great low-cost way to decorate any creative space. If you’re looking for a way to display your finds, but want to use something a little different than the traditional cork board, try this project!

It’s no secret that I love pink, but there’s one shade in particular that’s caught my heart recently and that’s Millennial Pink. Though I don’t think the name is the greatest (I actually kinda hate it), my goodness, that color! It’s perfect for weaving into your decor because it packs a color punch while still being subtle. It almost even functions as a neutral if you ask me, and you should, because really, how is this not better than boring beige?

If you haven’t found a way to incorporate this year’s ‘it’ color into your home, there are ways to do it without feeling like you live in Barbie’s playhouse.  From big wall changes, to small decor details, there’s always a place for more pink. And here are just a few ideas to get you brainstorming!
