Happy happy Friday! Now you might be saying to yourself that things look a little different around here. And you’d be 100% right because the blog got a redesign! Today is a day that I’ve been waiting to share with you for about a year now. There’s been a lot going on behind the scenes these past few months, and I can finally say The Crafted Life got a major and much needed facelift. The last time I touched the site design was in 2014 and I’ve had a lot of growth within that time. I’ve lived in multiple different cities, wrote a book, got engaged. As I’m sure most of you know, my life looks different than it did five years ago. I thought my blog should too.
I worked with the same design team and my friends at The Business Bar on creating the new look (they did my design the last time). Honestly, they’re the brains behind everything you see. I can’t recommend working with them enough! I wanted to give you a site that not only reflects the current style of the brand, but that is hopefully easier to navigate and find your favorite projects. One of the main reasons for updating the site was to expand The Crafted Life brand beyond the blog. The redesign not only looks great, but technically it made it possible to launch something I’ve always dreamed of– my own shop!
The Crafted Life Shop is a mix of original products and wholesale items that center around creating a colorful office space! When I looked at the most popular posts on the blog, the one thing they had in common was that they were office related. In fact one of my favorite items in the shop was inspired by the Rainbow Mouse Pad that I made and shared here a few years ago. So I figured that there’s a need for joy in the workspace!
Of course the timing of this is not ideal or something that was ever in my business plan. I never thought I’d be launching a shop during a global pandemic, but I’m going to make the most of the situation and focus on sharing the color and joy that I believe brought you to The Crafted Life to begin with. I’ll be sharing more on the design process in the upcoming weeks, but for now, please feel free to take around the site. Click around and explore.
I hope it brings a bit of happiness to your day!
