Now up until this point, I’m sure that most of your have only associated baby blue with.. the paint color used in a baby’s room. Well I’m here to change your mind about this today. Not only is baby blue a timeless design color, but it’s also it’s also the perfect compliment to a wide variety of colors. Here’s more about my current color crush:
Color: Baby Blue
Pair it With: Baby blue is great for lifting up those brighter and bolder colors and really making them pop. My personal favorite is blue on blue or paired with the previously color crush emerald green. It’s also just the best shade of pastel blue and a compliment to others of the same tone. If you want something light and bright like white, but want just a hint of color, then this is absolutely your color. Pair it with all things brass for a timeless preppy look.
Why it’s Crush-Worthy: A versatile color always has a place in my heart. But above all, it’s nice to take something so traditionally associated with something simple (like a baby’s room), and elevate it just based on where it’s used and what other colors are paired with it. Perhaps it’s a color we’ve overlooked for too long? By perhaps I mean I 100% have.
How to Bring it Home: I really don’t think it’s possible to have too much of this as a color in your home. You could paint an entire room baby blue and it would still feel bright and welcoming. Even though it’s a bit of an investment, tile is another great way to bring it home.
